News - Yemen: Yemeni President Mahdi Al-Mashat signed a law on Tuesday that prohibits and criminalizes the recognition of the Zionist enemy entity and any acts of normalization with it.

Following the enactment of the law, President Al-Mashat emphasized that normalizing relations with the Israeli enemy constitutes betrayal against the Arab and Islamic nations, as well as a betrayal against Islam and its people. He further stated that collaborating regimes are mere tools within the scope of the Zionist project, serving its interests through their actions.

The President stressed that this law will empower Yemen to formally and effectively confront the Zionist entity while lending support to the Palestinian people and their resistance.

He clarified that signing this law serves as a response to the detrimental normalization policies adopted by certain regional regimes. Al-Mashat highlighted that the prohibition and criminalization of recognition and normalization with the enemy reflect the stance of all free people worldwide, not just Yemen.

President Al-Mashat also reiterated Yemen's unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their courageous resistance. He affirmed, "We will persist in targeting the Zionist entity through every available means until their aggression ends and the collective persecution of our brethren in Gaza ceases."

He renewed the call to leaders of Arab and Islamic countries to criminalize any normalization with the Israeli enemy, viewing it as the minimum action required to support the Palestinian cause and Islamic sanctities.

The law prohibits and criminalizes the recognition of the Zionist entity that occupies Palestinian territories and other Arab lands. It also prohibits establishing any diplomatic, political, military, economic, cultural, or indirect relations with this occupying entity.

Israel waged the bloody war on Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas resistance group carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

Since the start of the offensive, the Tel Aviv regime has killed at least 15,899 Palestinians, injured 42,000 others, and left vast swathes of Gaza in ruins.

It has also imposed a “complete siege” on the Palestinian territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to more than two million people living there.
