News - Middle East: The spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, Abu Ubaida, announced on Tuesday that the brigades’ soldiers had eliminated 22 Israeli army soldiers in the past week.

“Last week, the Al-Qassam mujahideen successfully destroyed or partially damaged 42 Israeli military vehicles and eliminated 22 Israeli soldiers," Abu Ubaida said in a military report.

He further added, "Our fighters inflicted casualties, killing and wounding dozens in 52 separate military operations. They targeted Israeli forces using missiles, anti-fortification and anti-personnel devices, machine guns, and sniper weapons."

“We demolished a house, four tunnel entrances, and a minefield used by enemy soldiers. Additionally, we launched a surface-to-air missile at a helicopter in the sky over the Gaza Strip," he added.

According to the military report, “Al-Qassam fighters successfully shot down a Hermes 900 reconnaissance plane and seized a Skylark plane along with two drones.”

Furthermore, Al-Qassam fighters targeted enemy headquarters, field command rooms, and military concentrations using mortar shells and short-range missiles across all fronts.

Abu Ubaida highlighted, “The Al-Qassam Brigades launched a missile salvo towards Tel Aviv and its surroundings.”

Earlier on Tuesday, the Brigades released a video clip showing the moment its members targeting an Israeli infantry unit with machine guns and an anti-tank missile south of the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

The Israeli military has continued its aggression against the Gaza Strip since the seventh of October, backed by international support. Its airstrikes have targeted hospitals, buildings, towers, and the homes of Palestinian civilians, resulting in extensive destruction and immense suffering for the population.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the ongoing aggression for 94 days has led to the deaths of 23,210 people and injuries to 59,167 others. Moreover, vast areas of the Gaza Strip have been destroyed, forcing approximately 85 percent of its 2.3 million population to flee, leaving a quarter of them at risk of famine.
