News - Yemen: The Omani Shura Council condemned the unjust aggression against Yemen by certain Western powers under the pretext of targeting some commercial ships and protecting maritime passages.

In a statement on Sunday, the Shura Council clarified that while these countries provide full support to the Zionist entity for killing thousands of Palestinians, the double standards of these regimes become evident to the world.

It pointed out that the slogans about protecting human rights claimed by some of these Western powers have no connection to reality.

Early on Friday, the American and British warplanes targeted with 73 missiles five regions of Yemen, including the capital Sana'a and the provinces of Hodeidah, Taiz, Hajjah, and Sa’adah, killing at least five people and wounding six others.

The US and UK launched a series of aerial and navy strikes against Yemen in response to the repeated attacks that Yemen conducted on Israeli-bounded ships in the Red Sea. The aggression was conducted with support from Australia, Bahrain, Canada, and the Netherlands.

Since the Israeli regime's relentless military campaign against Gaza commenced in early October, the Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine's struggle against the Israeli occupation.

In recent actions, the Armed Forces have conducted attacks on ships that have ties with Israel near Yemeni ports. On November 19, they intercepted and seized a vessel associated with the Tel Aviv regime.
