News - Yemen: Member of the National Delegation, Abdulmalik Al-Ejri, affirmed that it is not in the interest of European Union countries to get involved with the United States in militarizing the Red Sea and attacking Yemen.

He emphasized that the Yemeni Armed Forces have no intentions to harm European trade movement, and involvement with the US is what would cause harm to Europe.

"Most  European exports that pass through the Red Sea are food and agricultural products that do not endure sailing through the Cape of Good Hope. There are no intentions by the Armed Forces to target them," he said.

He clarified that the US does not prioritize European interests; most of its exports pass through the Atlantic Ocean.

Al-Ejri affirmed that any further escalation will not provide a solution to the crisis and will not prevent Yemen from supporting Palestine. Therefore, it is in everyone's interest to seek a cessation of aggression on Gaza instead of escalation and military solutions that have failed in achieving the objectives of the American and Israeli sides.

The US is attempting to persuade EU countries to participate with them in military action against Yemen and to militarize the Red Sea under the pretext of "protecting navigation." This is to open an international front against Sana'a, hoping to pressure it to halt attacks on ships associated with the Zionist enemy and destined for the occupied ports of Palestine.

So far, many European countries, including America's allies, have refused direct involvement with them in military action against Yemen.

In the early hours of Friday, American and British warplanes targeted five regions in Yemen, including the capital Sana'a, and the provinces of Hodeidah, Taiz, Hajjah, and Sa’adah, launching 73 missiles. This aggression resulted in the death of at least five people and the injury of six others.

The US and UK launched a series of aerial and navy strikes against Yemen in response to the repeated attacks that Yemen conducted on Israeli-bounded ships in the Red Sea. The aggression was conducted with support from Australia, Bahrain, Canada, and the Netherlands.

Since the Israeli regime's relentless military campaign against Gaza commenced in early October, the Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine's struggle against the Israeli occupation.

In recent actions, the Armed Forces have conducted attacks on ships that have ties with Israel near Yemeni ports. On November 19, they intercepted and seized a vessel associated with the Tel Aviv regime.
