News - Yemen: The Yemeni armed forces announced Friday carrying out a military operation against targets of the Israeli enemy in the Umm Rashrash area (Eilat) in southern occupied Palestine with a number of ballistic missiles.

The statement added that this operation is a response to the ongoing crimes of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and the occupied Al-Quds.

The statement emphasized that the armed forces will not hesitate to carry out further military operations against the Zionist enemy on land and sea until the aggression is stopped and the blockade is lifted on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier on Thursday, The Naval Forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that they targeted a British commercial ship in the Red Sea that was heading towards the occupied Palestinian ports.

Over the past month, the Yemeni Armed Forces have been staging many such strikes against Israeli vessels or those bound for the occupied Palestinian territories' ports.

The operations have been described as a response to the October 7-present war and siege that the Israeli regime has been waging against Gaza following an operation carried out by the Palestinian territory's resistance movements.

Around 27,000 Palestinians, some 70 percent of whom are women, children, and adolescents, have been killed in the brutal onslaught so far.

The United States and the UK have also conducted several missile attacks against Yemeni targets in response to the Yemeni strikes.

From November 19, 2023, to January 31, 2024, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out 22 naval operations, targeting 25 ships. These included three ships owned by the Israeli entity, nine American ships, including warships, one British oil tanker, and ten ships heading to the occupied Palestinian ports. Several ships changed their course in response to warnings from the Yemeni Navy.
