News - Middle East: Representative of the Islamic Jihad in Yemen Ahmed Baraka lauded Yemen's steadfast support for the Palestinian people and its firm stance against Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement to Al-Masirah TV on Sunday, Baraka highlighted Yemen's resolute opposition to the interests of the Israeli entity, particularly by preventing its affiliated ships from passing through Yemeni waters, which has significantly impacted the Zionist economy.

He pointed out that the maritime blockade on the Israeli entity has prompted certain Arab regimes to supply it with food and essential commodities via land routes.

Baraka pointed to Yemen's condemnation of the Zionist entity's actions and its determination to hold it accountable. Yemen will not relent until the aggression on Gaza ceases, the occupation ends, and vital humanitarian aid is allowed to reach those in need.

He also praised the efforts of Hezbollah in sacrificing many martyrs in the struggle for Al-Quds and in striking the Zionist entity. Additionally, Baraka commended the operations of the Iraqi resistance.

Israel launched the war on Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas waged the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity in response to the Israeli regime's decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.

Since the start of the offensive, the Tel Aviv regime has killed at least 28,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, leaving more than 67,700 others wounded.

Thousands more are also missing and presumed dead under the rubble in Gaza, which is under “complete siege” by Israel.

In solidarity with the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip, the Yemeni Armed Forces have targeted ships in the Red Sea with owners linked to Israel or those going to and from ports in the occupied territories.
