News - World: British Foreign Office disclosed a series of meetings between British Foreign Minister David Cameron and Chinese officials, aiming to seek mediation in halting military operations in Yemen, specifically in the Red Sea.

In a press release on Saturday, the UK Foreign Office stated that Cameron urged his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi at the Munich Security Conference on Friday, to use its influence on Iran to pressure Yemen over its actions in the Red Sea.

The British diplomatic efforts come following significant strikes by the Yemeni Armed Forces against British vessels in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.

Yemenis have openly demonstrated their support for Palestine's struggle against Israeli occupation, particularly heightened after Israel launched a devastating attack on Gaza on October 7.

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced their intention to prevent Israeli-bound ships from traversing the Red Sea and the Bab Al-Mandab Strait until the Israeli aggression against Gaza ceases and the siege is lifted.

In response, the United States and the United Kingdom have conducted airstrikes in Yemen. This action follows the Biden administration and its allies providing unqualified support to the Tel Aviv regime. They have stated that Yemeni forces will face consequences for any attacks on Israeli-owned ships or vessels heading to the occupied territories.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their attacks until the relentless Israeli ground and aerial offensives in Gaza cease. These offensives have resulted in the deaths of at least 28,858 people and injuries to over 68,677 others.

In a resolute message against Zionist atrocities in Gaza, the Yemeni Armed Forces pledge to persist in their operations without hesitation, "The Yemeni Armed Forces will not hesitate to carry out and expand their military actions in defense of beloved Yemen and in affirmation of continued practical solidarity with the Palestinian people."
