Abdulsalam: Red Sea Navigation Safe, Except for Israel-Bound Ships
News - Yemen: Yemen's National Delegation head, Mohammed Abdulsalam, has confirmed the security of international navigation in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and the Bab el Mandeb. He asserted that all ships from around the world pass through peacefully, except for Israeli vessels or those bound for the occupied ports of Palestine.
Abdulsalam clarified that Yemen's legitimate right to respond to US-UK aggression does not compromise the safety of international navigation. He stressed that targeting Israeli ships or those heading to the occupied ports of Palestine falls within the framework of this right.
He criticized some European countries for blindly following negative American propaganda, highlighting that there is no threat to international or European navigation unless there are aggressive actions from their side.
Abdulsalam emphasized the urgent need for a comprehensive and immediate ceasefire declaration in Gaza for humanitarian reasons that are apparent to everyone.
He held the US, UK, and some European countries responsible for the ongoing crimes of the Israeli entity against the Palestinian people in Gaza, stating that their continued support for Israel encourages further atrocities.
Abdulsalam called on the international community to pressure Israel to halt its aggression on Gaza and work towards an urgent and comprehensive ceasefire declaration.
He underscored that the continued Israeli aggression on Gaza poses a threat to security and stability in the region, and the international community bears the responsibility to work towards its cessation.
The Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7.
The relentless Israeli strikes against Gaza have killed at least 29,195 people, most of them women and children, in Gaza. Another 69,170 individuals have been wounded as well.
The Yemeni forces have also launched missile and drone attacks on targets in the Israeli-occupied territories of Palestine after the occupying regime’s aggression on Gaza.
