News - Yemen: The head of the National Delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, has condemned the ongoing airstrikes by the United States and the United Kingdom on Yemen, denouncing them as condemnable acts of aggression that violate the sovereignty of an independent state.

In a statement on his X account, Abdulsalam noted that the US-UK aggression is part of their futile attempts to hinder Yemen's support for the resilience of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

He reiterated Yemen's commitment to its humanitarian and moral stance alongside Gaza, asserting its right to retaliate against the ongoing US-UK aggression by blocking Israeli ships from entering Yemeni ports.

The United States and Britain have been carrying out strikes on Yemen since Washington and its allies offered unqualified support to the Tel Aviv regime. They have warned that Yemeni forces will face consequences for attacks against Israeli-owned ships or merchant vessels heading to the occupied territories.

Recent US-UK airstrikes, targeting civilians and civilian objects in the capital, Sana'a, Taiz, and Hajjah, have resulted in the death of one citizen and the injury of eight others. 

Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine's struggle against Zionist occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7, following the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm by Palestinian resistance movements.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared that they will not cease retaliatory strikes. The maritime attacks have compelled major shipping and oil companies to suspend their voyages to the ports of the Zionist enemy.
