The platform reported monitoring the movements of unidentified ships to the UAE military base on Abdul-Kuri Island, suggesting that these movements serve regional interests, with implications for the Israeli occupation entity.
The Eekad investigation cited a report published by the American magazine Breaking Defense in 2022, stating that Western countries are interested in developing Israeli air defense capabilities, including those in the Yemeni Socotra Archipelago, under the supervision of the US Central Command.
The investigation revealed ongoing construction activities on Abdul-Kuri Island, including the erection of a communications tower, the cancellation of two maritime lanes previously built on the island, and the construction of a new lane in the south of the island to mitigate Yemeni attacks. Additionally, the length of the runway has been increased, and the density of supplies arriving on the island has escalated in an unprecedented manner.
The Eekad platform suggested that these preparations on Abdul-Kuri may be part of a military intelligence integration involving Emirati and Western bases overlooking the Gulf of Aden, such as Al-Rayyan, Mayon, and Mocha bases.
The platform noted that these activities followed the events of October 7, according to satellite image analysis from the "Sentinel Hub," as Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine's struggle against Zionist occupation since the regime launched its devastating war on Gaza.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared that they will not cease retaliatory strikes against ships in the Red Sea with owners linked to Israel or those going to and from ports in the occupied territories. The maritime attacks have compelled major shipping and oil companies to suspend their voyages to the ports of the Zionist enemy.
The UAE participated in the aggressive war on Yemen and took it as a way to achieve its goals in the south of the country. During the nine years of participation, it was convicted of several practices that infringed upon Yemen's sovereignty, security, unity, independence, and territorial integrity.
The UAE sought to gain influence in the Yemeni coastal areas and the south of the country, to strengthen its presence at the maritime shipping lines in the Gulf of Aden and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, towards the Horn of Africa.
The increasing rifts between Saudi Arabia and the UAE prompted the two countries to strengthen their presence in the occupied governorates, as each of them established alliances with Yemeni factions and used them to achieve their goals.
