Security Forces Conduct Preemptive Operation Against Daesh Members in Al-Baidha Governorate

News - Yemen: A recent security operation conducted by Yemeni Security Forces, with support from the Armed Forces, targeted Daesh-affiliated members in the Al-Khasha'a area of Hanakat Al Masoud, Quraishiyah district, Al-Baidha governorate.

According to a security source, ongoing efforts by security services uncovered takfiri activity in the Al-Khasha'a area, which has led to criminal operations, including the assassination of Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ruba Al-Masoudi.

Preceded by intelligence efforts, the security operation successfully neutralized seven dangerous Takfiri Daesh members who resisted arrest following the assassination. The operation carried out on February 20, 2024, resulted in the discovery of explosive belts and crucial documents related to the assassination.

The source expressed gratitude to the residents of Hanakat Al Masoud for their support during the operation. It reiterated the commitment to preventing the establishment of takfiri groups in the region. Citizens were urged to report any suspicious activities to maintain security and stability.

Additionally, Yemen's security experience during the past nine years of aggression and blockade has revealed Washington's dubious intentions regarding Takfiri groups. Before the September 21 revolution in 2014, despite claims of combating terrorism, American forces were stationed in strategic areas across Yemen. However, lax security measures allowed the proliferation of Al-Qaeda and Daesh groups, even in neighborhoods adjacent to the US embassy in Sana'a.

Official statistics indicate over 1,100 assassinations and 23 smuggling operations between 2011 and 2014, orchestrated by so-called Al-Qaeda members and other criminals. The rise of Takfiri groups posed a significant threat, with attacks on mosques and security forces becoming commonplace.

Significantly, the heinous bombings such as the Badr and Al-Hashoosh mosques, and the activation of Takfiri groups to hit security, were the first options for striking the nascent revolution before the revolutionaries moved to pursue the Takfiris and cleanse the members of Al-Qaeda and Daesh fled in front of the army and popular committees at that time across the sea by boats from Aden, before those groups returned aboard American tanks and armored vehicles with the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression.

After the US "Marines" fled from Sana'a, security agencies found several camps for Takfiri groups in the vicinity of the capital, as well as hideouts, factories, and workshops for manufacturing explosives and car bombs in the capital and other areas, the results of which were the execution of hundreds of suicide operations, bombings, and attacks that claimed thousands of lives, even sovereign camps and facilities like the Ministry of Defense were not spared from the attacks.

The lax security situation before the September 21 revolution raised suspicions about America's true intentions in Yemen. These suspicions were confirmed during the US-Saudi aggression on Yemen when the invading coalition allied with Al-Qaeda and Daesh under the pretext of combating the Yemeni Armed Forces. The leader of Al-Qaeda even declared that his group was fighting on "11 fronts" with the aggression against the Yemeni Armed Forces.

Furthermore, security agencies uncovered evidence of aid and weapons provided by USAID to Al-Qaeda and Daesh groups in liberated areas of Al-Baidha during the aggression. This scandalous revelation underscores the complex dynamics at play in Yemen's security landscape.
