News - Middle East: The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has asserted that the recent confirmation by Zionist media outlets of the deaths of approximately 27 Palestinian detainees from Gaza, due to torture, ill-treatment, and deprivation of basic rights, provides further evidence of the widespread crimes and violations against Palestinian detainees in enemy prisons.

The movement emphasized that these actions constitute war crimes and called for an investigation by international human rights institutions.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Hamas urged the International Committee of the Red Cross to fulfill its legal and humanitarian responsibilities by reviewing the conditions of detainees amid deliberate Zionist efforts to obscure information regarding their numbers and detention conditions.

According to an investigation by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, enemy forces executed 27 Palestinian prisoners from Gaza in Israeli military detention centers since the beginning of the aggression against Gaza. The newspaper, quoting a spokesman for the Israeli army, reported that most detainees were killed at the SD Timan and Anatot bases, noting that some prisoners had pre-existing health conditions or were injured during the war.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli enemy "committed nine massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of 83 martyrs and 142 injuries during the past 24 hours."

The Ministry emphasized on Thursday the increase in the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip to 30,800 martyrs and 72,298 injuries since October 7th.
