News - World: The United States revealed on Thursday that the Yemeni Armed Forces have introduced new weapons into the battle in the Red Sea.

This development follows the targeting of an American ship and the casualties among its crew, along with uncertainty surrounding its fate.

CNN quoted officials in the Biden administration expressing concern about the weapons used in the recent attack. They indicated that the Yemeni Armed Forces continue to surprise them, and they are uncertain about the extent or type of weapons used.

The targeted vessel, the True Confidence, is expected to sink following an unprecedented strike, marking a significant escalation in Yemeni operations since November.

The attack, resulting in casualties among the crew, signals a new phase in Yemeni military actions.

Sare'e emphasized that the operation was conducted after the ship's crew disregarded warning calls from Yemeni Naval Forces. He urged all ships to heed such warnings and promptly depart after any initial impact.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have affirmed their commitment to continue preventing Israeli navigation or any ships heading towards the occupied ports of Palestine until the aggression is halted and the blockade on the Gaza Strip is lifted. 

They emphasized that they will not hesitate to carry out further military operations in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea against all hostile targets, in defense of Yemen and in support of Palestine.
