News - Middle East: The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine stated on Thursday that "what was revealed by Politico regarding the Biden administration's support for a 'limited' ground operation in Rafah confirms that the US is leading the aggression and is proceeding in supporting and legitimizing the Zionist genocide war."

In a statement, the Popular Front held the US administration, led by its criminal president Biden, responsible for any occupation step for a ground invasion of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip under the pretext of "destroying the remaining resistance factions in the city."

The Front wondered, "What limited operation is this criminal American administration talking about in a densely populated city with more than one and a half million Palestinian inhabitants?"

It pointed out that the American administration, with this position, is granting the occupation a permit to commit new war crimes in the crowded Rafah with displaced persons. This confirms the insistence of this administration on supporting the entity in its aggression and prolonging the battle, confirming the reality of the criminal colonial doctrine rooted in the minds of the American administration.

The Front indicated that the American administration "is vigorously seeking to market this anticipated criminal operation in the city of Rafah to mitigate public opinion against it in a manner that serves Zionist propaganda."

It referred to the field reality in the sector, which confirms the lie of the so-called "destruction of the remaining resistance factions in Rafah," as the occupation sinks deeper into the quagmire of the sector day after day, and the resistance remains present and fights in all areas of the sector from Beit Hanoun to Rafah, continuing to inflict heavy losses on the occupation.

The Front concluded its statement by affirming that "Gaza will remain a curse haunting the American administration and the war criminal Biden, and a chronic nightmare for the occupation."

Israel waged its genocidal war on Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas resistance group carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the usurping entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

Over two-thirds of those killed and injured during Israel’s onslaught on Gaza are women and girls, UN Secretary-General António Guterres told the opening of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York on Monday.

The Tel Aviv regime has also imposed a “complete siege” on the territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.

The Israeli war has pushed 85% of Gaza’s population into internal displacement amid acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine. In comparison, 60% of the enclave's infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.

Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice. An interim ruling in January ordered Tel Aviv to stop genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
