News - Yemen: Over four thousand commercial ships have safely navigated international shipping lanes in the Red and Arabian Seas, excluding vessels from Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom, an official from the Ministry of Transport has confirmed.

According to statistics provided by the Ministry's Regional Maritime Center, a total of 4,591 ships have passed through the Red Sea between January 11 and March 19, 2024.

The Ministry reiterated Yemen's commitment to ensuring the safety and security of navigation in the Arabian and Red Seas, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Indian Ocean, including ships transiting the Cape of Good Hope, while excluding those from Israel, the US, and the UK.

International shipping companies were urged by the Ministry of Transport to cooperate in maintaining the safety and security of maritime navigation.

Yemen has vocally expressed support for Palestine's resistance against Zionist occupation since the regime's devastating assault on Gaza began on October 7, following the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm by Palestinian resistance movements.

The Zionist occupation has killed at least 31,923 Palestinians, mostly women and children. Thousands more are also missing and presumed dead under the rubble.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared that they will not cease retaliatory strikes until the aggression stops and the Zionist blockade on Gaza is lifted.
