Press Conference Reveals Devastating Impact of US-Saudi Aggression on Sana'a

News - Yemen: Sana'a Province hosted a press conference on Tuesday to mark the anniversary of National Resilience, shedding light on the significant losses incurred over nine years due to the US-Saudi aggression on Yemen.

During the conference, statistics detailing the impact of the aggression on various sectors and directorates of Sana'a Province were presented.

The conference disclosed that the number of airstrikes carried out by the aggression in Sana'a Province alone amounted to 2,324 raids. The toll on human lives included 3,151 casualties, among whom were 328 children and women.

Furthermore, the US-Saudi aggression ravaged 1,407 residential homes and targeted 54 civilian vehicles, including cars and motorcycles. Over the nine years, 27 health facilities were completely destroyed, along with 190 educational institutions and 5 institutes. Additionally, 7 rural water projects were obliterated.

Moreover, the aggression targeted 25 factories and industrial facilities, destroying 164 high and low-pressure electricity networks, 1,285 electricity poles, 63 power transmission lines, 10 substations, and 3 rural electricity projects.

The conference highlighted that the aggression also aimed at vital infrastructure, including roads and bridges, with 10 bridges destroyed. Additionally, 11 tourist facilities, archaeological sites, 23 communication stations and towers, and 4 radio and television stations fell victim to the attacks.

In addition to these losses, 25 mosques in Sana'a Province were targeted, alongside 140 agricultural facilities, leading to the death of approximately 10,000 livestock, and the destruction of 3 fuel stations.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, claiming the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The US-Saudi aggression continues to target neighborhoods and populated areas and destroy the infrastructure and capabilities of the country, in light of a suspicious international silence.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
