The ministry stated that it has documented the deaths of 3,184 children and the injury of 4,714 others due to the US-Saudi aggression. Since the beginning of the de-escalation, 375 citizens have been killed, and 2,629 others have been injured.
According to the ministry's statistics, 69 healthcare workers have been killed, and 100 ambulances have been targeted by the aggression. Additionally, the US-Saudi aggression targeted 539 healthcare facilities, resulting in 55 percent of healthcare facilities being taken out of service. Moreover, airstrikes have directly destroyed pharmaceutical and medical oxygen factories.
The ministry further stated that the US-Saudi aggression committed a major crime by withholding salaries from 50,000 healthcare workers, noting that 45 percent of facilities are operating at minimum capacity.
It emphasized the urgent need to open Sana'a Airport without restrictions today to alleviate the suffering of patients and provide the missing pharmaceuticals.
Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, claiming the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.
The US-Saudi aggression continues to target neighborhoods and populated areas and destroy the infrastructure and capabilities of the country, in light of a suspicious international silence.
The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
