Islamic Jihad Leader Hails Yemeni Efforts: Besieging Zionist Foes at Key Commercial Port

News - Middle East: A prominent Palestinian resistance figure announced on Saturday that Yemenis have encircled the Zionist enemy at a crucial commercial port, challenging global powers in the process.

Ziyad al-Nakhala, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, noted that even before the Battle of Al-Aqsa Storm, Yemenis were actively engaged, maintaining constant communication with them.

Al-Nakhala acknowledged the Yemenis' substantial financial support to the Palestinian cause, stating that despite facing severe hardships, they donated millions of dollars during the "Sword of Al-Quds" battle.

He highlighted the significant role of Ansarullah, pointing out their pivotal presence during the battle, as they wielded power and effectively besieged the Zionist enemy in a key commercial port, confronting not only the world but also the United States and Britain. This blockade of commercial vessels heading to Israel marked a critical and unforeseen victory.

"We are deeply grateful for this support. Today, I witnessed operations in Gaza where our brothers launched mortars and rockets adorned with images of Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi. Yesterday, I observed our brethren inscribing Sayyed Abdulmalik’s name on artillery shells, reflecting the profound spiritual bond now shared with the Yemeni people. This immense solidarity stems from recognizing the crucial role Yemen has played in recent months, supporting the Palestinian people militarily and morally," he elaborated.

Al-Nakhala also noted the ongoing struggle, mentioning that they are in the seventh month of aggression, with the enemy gradually losing ground. He emphasized the strong and distinct presence of Gaza’s resistance both on the battlefield and politically, while Israeli forces flounder in Gaza’s sands and face hefty losses in ongoing confrontations.

"We are ready for a protracted battle unless the enemy agrees to a ceasefire on our terms," he declared, appreciating Hezbollah's influence in the conflict and thanking the Iranian people and leadership for their unwavering support of the resistance.

"Our endurance through the Al-Aqsa Storm would not have been possible without substantial aid from the Islamic Republic of Iran, which supplied a significant portion of our resources in Gaza," he added.

Addressing the lackluster response from Arab nations, al-Nakhala questioned, "Why can’t Arab states, with their vast military and economic capabilities, provide any substantial assistance to the Palestinians?" He argued that this situation serves as a test for those Arab and Islamic countries professing support for the Palestinian cause.

He concluded, "We wish Iran were on the borders of Palestine, but it has consistently supported the resistance without faltering."
