Former US Navy Officer Acknowledges American Military Decline in Confronting Yemeni Armed Forces

News - Yemen: Former US Navy officer Scott Ritter admitted on Monday to the failure and defeat of the United States in confronting the Yemeni Armed Forces supporting the Palestinian people in the Red Sea, Arab Gulf, and the Indian Ocean.

In televised statements, Ritter remarked on the perceived decline in US military capabilities, highlighting Washington's inability to control the operations of the Sana'a forces. He referenced an incident during former President Donald Trump's tenure, when Iran successfully shot down an American drone, as a starting point for this decline.

Ritter further noted the specific challenges faced by the US in stopping Yemeni operations in strategic areas like the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

Since the commencement of the Israeli regime's relentless military campaign against Gaza in early October, the Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine's struggle against the Israeli occupation.

Israel initiated its genocidal war on Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas resistance group carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the usurping entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

The Tel Aviv regime has also imposed a "complete siege" on the territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.

Since the start of the offensive, the Tel Aviv regime has killed over 33,797 Palestinians and injured more than 76,465 others.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have conducted recent attacks on ships with ties to Israel near Yemeni ports, including the interception and seizure of a vessel associated with the Tel Aviv regime on November 19.

The maritime attacks have forced some of the world’s biggest shipping and oil companies to suspend transit through one of the world’s most important maritime trade routes.

Tankers are instead adding thousands of miles to international shipping routes by sailing around the continent of Africa rather than going through the Suez Canal.
