'A major partner': Iran congratulates Modi over victory in India elections
News - Middle East: Iran's Interim President Mohammad Mokhber has extended his congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his victory in parliamentary elections.
In a message on Friday, Mokhber said India has turned into Iran's main partner under Modi's leadership.
The interim president expressed hope that the Iranian and Indian nations will further promote relations given both sides' determination.
Modi, for his part, hailed Mokhber's congratulatory message and said Tehran and New Delhi will continue to jointly work to expand bilateral relations and promote regional peace, security and prosperity.
