News - Yemen: Deputy Interior Minister Major General Abdulmajid Al-Murtadha has stated that the espionage and intelligence activities conducted by the American enemy through its embassy violate all diplomatic conventions and norms.

Al-Murtadha confirmed that those arrested are Yemeni citizens involved in sabotage, espionage, and intelligence activities that have significantly harmed the Yemeni people. He stated that there are confessions from the spies during the investigation, which are documented. The security agencies possess extensive evidence and documents related to these activities.

He highlighted that the security agencies have been working diligently to provide the necessary facilities to protect diplomatic missions, organizations, and their personnel, aiming to serve the Yemeni people. However, when acts of sabotage were uncovered, the security agencies and state institutions could not allow any threats to the security and economy of the nation.

Al-Murtadha explained that upon discovering the conspiracy against Yemen through the spy network, the Americans began to portray the involved individuals as peaceful Yemeni citizens. He asserted that the Americans do not care about these individuals and ultimately want to discard them.

Recently, Yemeni Security Forces announced the dismantling of a significant espionage network working for the United States and Israel. This network had been involved in espionage and sabotage activities across various state institutions for decades. 

According to a statement from the Security Forces, the network was directly linked to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and had obtained sensitive information about various aspects of life in Yemen, including military, security, economic, agricultural, health, and educational fields.
