Hadramout's Revolutionary Movement Denounces Foreign Occupation, Supports Palestinian Cause

News - Yemen: The revolutionary movement in Hadramout Governorate has reaffirmed its opposition to the foreign presence, particularly the Saudi-Emirati occupation.

During a meeting in the District of East Al-Dis on Sunday, the movement highlighted the dire living and economic conditions in the southern governorates under occupation, including the collapse of the national currency, lack of essential services, and soaring prices. They called for liberation from foreign control and swift action to expel the Saudi-Emirati forces.

In support of the Palestinian cause, the movement organized a massive demonstration, advocating for the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza facing genocide by the Zionist entity and condemning the silence of Arab regimes.

On the other hand, the head of the Southern Civil Forces Collective, Abdulkarim Al-Saadi, said in a post on the "X" platform on Sunday that the so-called Emirati "Special Unit" which oversees the tasks and funding of the Transitional Council has been tasked with tearing apart the social fabric in the occupied southern governorates.

Abdulkarim Al-Saadi, head of the Southern Civil Forces Collective, posted on X that the Emirati "Special Unit" tasked with funding the Southern Transitional Council aims to disrupt the social fabric in the southern governorates. He described the Transitional Council's situation as dire, cloaked under the phrase "the time has come," and noted its dependency on the Saudi-backed government for protection against southern competitors.

In 2015, Saudi and Emirati forces entered the city of Aden from Bir Ali, citing the need to repel the "Houthi-Iranian" intervention and "secure international navigation". It didn't take long after the arrival of these forces for the new British-style experiment to take shape.

This comes amid escalating anger and popular discontent among citizens in the occupied southern and eastern provinces due to the collapse of the electricity system in many of these provinces. The pro-aggression government has failed to provide the necessary fuel to operate power plants and save citizens from the intense summer heat.

The Saudi-Emirati ambition in Yemen faced a southern awakening, which began on the island of Socotra when thousands protested against turning the island into a dependency of Abu Dhabi. Then came the uprising of the people of Al-Mahra in July, demanding sovereignty over the province and rejecting foreign control over the city. The protests expanded to reach the city of Aden, where the UAE has deployed over thirty thousand local military personnel loyal to them.

Hundreds took to the streets demanding the departure of the "coalition" forces from the south, a situation that analysts have compared to the protests in the 1960s against British presence, which laid the foundation for armed struggle in the south.
