Human Rights: Saudi Crimes Have Not Stopped for a Single Day in Border Areas During 'De-escalation'

News - Yemen: Yemen's Ministry of Human Rights confirmed that Saudi crimes and violations against citizens and their property in the border areas of Sa'adah governorate have not stopped for a single day during the "de-escalation period".

In a statement, the ministry explained that the Saudi regime continues its blatant aggression and bombardment, committing more crimes in the border districts. The latest incident involved the martyrdom of a citizen and injuries to others by Saudi gunfire in the Al-Sheikh area of Munabbih district.

The statement pointed out that repeated Saudi attacks include rocket and artillery shelling and drone strikes, directly targeting civilians, with increasing intensity amid international and UN silence.

It noted that cluster bombs and remnants of the US-Saudi aggression continue to claim lives, causing significant losses and threatening the lives of thousands of civilians in Sa'adah. Over the past 60 days, these attacks have resulted in more than 85 civilian casualties, including women and children.

The statement reported that repeated criminal assaults by the Saudi enemy's army on border areas since the beginning of 2022 have led to the martyrdom and injury of nearly 3,000 civilians. This is part of the ongoing Saudi aggression on Yemen, which has caused thousands of civilian deaths and injuries and destroyed infrastructure across the country.

The Ministry also mentioned that the Saudi army continues to commit severe violations against large numbers of migrant workers, including deliberate killings and other systematic assaults against migrants.

The Ministry of Human Rights condemned the continued silence of the UN Security Council, the United Nations, and international organizations regarding these crimes, holding the Saudi regime and all its accomplices responsible for the targeting of civilians and their properties.

Since the begining of war against Yemen in 2015, the border areas of Sa'adah governorate have been repeatedly targeted by Saudi forces, leading to casualties and the destruction of homes, farms, and properties, resulting in immense suffering for thousands of victims.
