News - Middle East: The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) emphasized that schools and shelters must be protected, and Israeli violence against children must stop.

"Horrific reports of another attack this morning on a school in Gaza sheltering displaced people, with children reportedly killed and injured in a place they thought was safe," the UNICEF wrote on X on Saturday.

The Israeli enemy forces committed a new massacre early Saturday at the Al-Tabi'een school, which was housing displaced persons in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 100 Palestinians and the injury of hundreds.

Backed by the US and its Western allies, the Israeli regime launched an all-out invasion of Gaza after it was caught off-guard by Operation Al-Aqsa Storm inside the occupied territories in October last year.

At least 39,790 Palestinians have since been killed, most of them women and children, and 92,002 others injured in the merciless Israeli aggression.

Israel has also been enforcing a crippling siege on the coastal territory by choking off the flow of foodstuffs, medicine, electricity, and water into the Palestinian territory.
