Foreign Ministry Condemns Ben Gvir’s Statements on Building Synagogue in Al-Aqsa, Warns of Escalating Tensions

News - Yemen: Yemen's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the recent statements made by the extremist Zionist minister Ben Gvir regarding Israeli intention to build a Jewish synagogue inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry emphasized that these remarks confirm that all violations committed by the criminal Ben Gvir, along with several extremists at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, were done with the knowledge of Netanyahu, and warned that these actions will not go unpunished.

The statement further clarified that these comments are part of Zionist efforts to alter the characteristics and reality of the holy sites in Al-Quds, warning of the consequences of continued violations by the Zionist entity at the holy sites in Al-Aqsa, as these irresponsible practices will escalate confrontations in the Arab Palestinian territories.

The statement stressed the importance of countries supporting the Israeli enemy taking seriously the words of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi regarding the necessity to stop the aggression on the Gaza Strip, end the crime of the blockade, and ensure the entry of humanitarian aid, food, medical supplies, and fuel without any obstacles or inhumane political conditions.

The Ministry concluded its statement by calling on the Security Council, the Human Rights Council, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the League of Arab States to condemn the Zionist practices and fulfill their responsibilities in protecting Palestinian civilians and the holy sites in the Palestinian territories.

The far-right Israeli minister earlier said that if he could, he would build a synagogue on the al-Asqa Mosque complex in occupied East al-Quds.

"If I could do what I wanted, a synagogue would also be established on the Temple Mount," Ben Gvir, who has a long record of making inflammatory statements, told Israel's Army Radio on Monday morning.

Ben Gvir and several other Israeli politicians have long violated the delicate arrangement and facilitated raids on the holy site and performed rituals.

This is while the al-Aqsa Mosque — the third-holiest site in Islam — is forbidden to non-Muslim prayers and rituals based on decades-long international agreements.
