'The belief is that of the Yemenites, and sagacity is that of the Yemenites.' This is a word of truth from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&F).
One of the manifestations of this blessed hadith is your magnificent, grand, crowded, and unprecedented attendance on this blessed day. You are here out of your love for the Messenger of Allah, conveying your reverence for him and expressing gratitude for Allah's blessing.
You are all warmly welcome in all squares, and may Allah look upon you with favour. I ask Him (the Almighty) to grant you reward, to bless you, and to accept your deeds.
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the outcast.
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
Praise is to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. I believe that there is no god but Allah, the Sovereign and the Manifest Truth, and that Muhammad, our master, is His servant, Messenger, and Last Prophet.
{'Indeed, Allah and His angels confer salat upon the Prophet. O you who have attained faith, pray for salat upon him and salute him with worthy greetings of peace'}[Al-Ahzab 33:56].
O Allah, confer Your salat and blessings upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad as You conferred Your salat and blessings upon Ibrahim and the Family of Ibrahim. You are Owner of Praise, Owner of Glory! And be pleased with Muhammad's good companions and all Your righteous servants and mujahidin.
May Allah grant you reward and receive your attendance at this great gathering with acceptance. On the greatest occasion and on this blessed day, you have held the greatest celebration on the face of the earth, expressing your love, respect, and reverence for the purest, noblest, greatest, and most perfect human being in all of human history. You have held this celebration in joy, happiness, and gratitude for Allah's blessing, grace, and mercy, as He bestowed his favour upon humanity and sent His finest creation and the leader of His messengers to save humanity and bring it from darknesses to light: Muhammad (PBUH&F). I Congratulate you and our entire Islamic Ummah on this blessed occasion.
Indeed, this great commemoration of this occasion is a manifestation of joy, happiness, appreciation for Allah's blessings, and an acknowledgment of His grace and favour, just as Allah (the Almighty) has said in His Holy Book, {'Say, "In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy, let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate"'}[Yunus 10:58].
Before the birth of the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (PBUH&F), clear misguidance had spread throughout the world. Also, the darkness of ignorance prevailed everywhere. Furthermore, oppression and injustice filled the earth, and corruption permeated all societies. The divine message brought by Allah's messengers and prophets that humanity had inherited had been distorted by those who claimed to belong to the divine message. This was the case with the People of the Scripture at that time: the Jews and Christians, who had become part of the problem, turning into producers of misguidance, advocates of falsehood, and seekers of corruption on the earth.
Ignorance and its darkness enveloped all societies, regardless of their religions and orientations, with oppression and shadows. Time stretched on for them, and they endured a prolonged existence. Falsehoods and corrupt practices became deeply rooted behaviour, social customs, and established beliefs, protected by the arrogant forces of taghut [tyranny]. The only hope for salvation and rescue for humanity from its loss and uncertain future was what remained known and transmitted from the prophecies of the prophets (PBUT) about the Seal Prophet, and the signs of his impending birth began to emerge during that dark period.
In the Year of the Elephant, the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of His Prophets, Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abdul Muttalib, was born. He grew up as an orphan, first losing his father and then his mother. But Allah took him into His care, as He said, {'Did He not find you as an orphan then sheltered you?'}[Ad-Duhaa 93:6]. Allah prepared for him special care from his grandfather Abdul-Muttalib, and after his grandfather's death, from his uncle Abu Talib. He grew up in a blessed and virtuous upbringing, unique in its kind, surpassing all human educational effort. He remained untouched by the impurities of the pre-Islamic period [Jahiliyyah], ascending the ladder of human perfection through divine preparation for the great and sacred mission: Allah's message to the whole world.
Allah's message came as mercy to the worlds, a salvation for those who follow it, and a light that rescues from darknesses. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&F) began his movement with it, starting in the society of Mecca for thirteen years. He then migrated to Al-Madinah, as the people of Mecca at that time failed to attain the great, important honour of embracing the divine message, and only a few of them believed in it. They were affected by many Meccan arrogant leaders, who insisted on misguidance, which was a means to preserve their illegitimate interests of enslaving and exploiting people and following self-inclinations, desires, and greed.
Despite the fact that Allah's message is a mercy for all people, containing goodness for all of them if they believe in it and accept it—as it is a light that elevates humanity in their maturity, morals, and all aspects of life and leads to goodness in this world and in the Hereafter when followed and believed in—the arrogant forces of evil and criminality and the misguiding leaders of corruption and tyranny took a hostile position towards the Prophet and the Quran. They sought to fight Islam using all means and methods, including false propaganda, economic war, and military aggression. They boasted about their military and material capabilities and hoped to succeed in eradicating the Prophet's movement with the divine message, considering that the Muslims were few in number and with limited resources at the time. They declared war against the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&F) and the Muslims, and they resorted to violence, torture, and persecution of the oppressed Muslims. They even attempted to assassinate the Prophet, but they failed in that.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&F) migrated from Mecca to Al-Madinah, where the society was honoured with embracing the divine message and offering shelter and support to the Prophet of Islam. These people were Al-Aws and Al-Khazraj, the Yemenite tribes whom Allah (the Almighty) called 'The Ansar'. What really distinguished them was that they converted to Islam, carried its flag, and embraced the divine project.
Thus, the Islamic society was formed by the Muhajirun and the Ansar under the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&F) in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah. At that time, the surrounding environment, consisting of the other Arab tribes, was hostile. The Muslims were targeted by various factions that formed alliances and cooperated in conspiracies and wars against Islam and the Muslims. It became increasingly clear that matters were heading towards armed confrontation and military war, as the enemies had failed to eliminate Islam and the Muslims through other means. Due to their hostility and intense malevolence towards the Prophet (PBUH&F) and the Muslims and due to their reliance on their military capabilities (enormous in numbers and equipment, compared to the modest capabilities of the Muslims), Allah’s command came for the Prophet and the Muslims to engage in jihad in the cause of Allah. They were ordered to take action in the military battlefield to confront the tyrants and to break the arrogance of the oppressors.
Although conflict is a reality in human societies throughout history, jihad in the cause of Allah has its remarkable and noble virtues, which were manifested in the jihadist actions led by the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&F) at the highest level, in its principles, values, ethics, spirituality, and goals. The cause is the highest cause; it is the light of Allah and His blessed guidance. It is the great Islam, the truth confronting falsehood, good confronting evil, and justice confronting oppression.
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH&F) moved in his jihad according to the permission and command of Allah, as mentioned in the Quran: {'Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory. [They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right, only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah"'}[Al-Hajj 22:39-40]. The command came from Allah (the Almighty) to His servant, His Messenger, and His soldier: Muhammad bin Abdullah (PBUH&F): {'So fight in the cause of Allah [O Prophet]. You are accountable for none but yourself. And motivate the believers [to fight], so perhaps Allah will curb the disbelievers' might. And Allah is far superior in might and in punishment'}[An-Nisa 4:84].
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH&F) faced various factions of disbelief and evil that declared war on Islam, starting with the Arab polytheists and the Jews and reaching direct confrontation with the Romans, the major power at that time. Allah granted His Prophet and the Muslims great victories, immense empowerment, and clear triumphs, enabling them to overcome significant challenges and risks. The forces of evil and disbelief crumbled one after another despite their considerable capabilities and the plots and efforts they made to combat Islam. Allah describes their plots in the Holy Quran, saying {'Verily they have plotted their plot, but their plots were (well) within the sight of Allah, even though they were such as to remove the mountains'}[Ibrahim 14:46]. At that time, the malice and deceit of the Jews and their treachery combined with the fierceness of the Arab polytheists, who were known for their violent nature and brutality, which reached extreme levels as to bury their child daughters and sons alive, normally start war for the slightest reasons, and practice killing, plundering, and looting as standard behaviour! However, they all failed. Even when the Roman Empire entered the confrontation, with its military, economic, and political might, they failed! Despite their conspiracies, treachery, and wars against the Messenger of Allah and the Muslims, the result was the victory of the Muslims. They became an influential force on the world stage, leading the nations with their distinguished sacred message.
In the Holy Quran, Allah (the Almighty) immortalized the jihadist journey of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&F) to serve as a source of guidance for all generations of Islam, as it contains teachings, instructions, and positions and provides assessment of the Muslims' performance in times of victory and the reasons for their setbacks in some battles. The Quranic verses recount the events of the great Battle of Badr, the Battle of Uhud, the Battle of the Confederates, also known as the Battle of the Trench, and other confrontations with the Arab polytheists, all the way up to the great conquest, the Conquest of Mecca.
The Quranic verses also focused on the confrontations with the Jews in their various hostile communities against Islam: Banu Qaynuqa, Banu Nadir, and Banu Qurayza, as well as those in Khaybar, Fadak, Al-Awali, Wadi Al-Qura, and other places. There was also the confrontation with the Romans in the Battle of Mu'tah and the Battle of Tabuk, which led to important outcomes and paved the way for the great victories in subsequent conquests against the Romans, enabling the Muslims to rise to the level of having a direct confrontation with them.
Additionally, the Prophet (PBUH&F) dealt with the internal threat posed by the front of nifaq [hypocrisy], who were destabilizing the Muslim ranks from within and serving the interests of the enemies. Allah commanded a decisive position against them in His saying: {'O Prophet! Struggle against the disbelievers and the munafiqin, and be firm with them. Jahannam will be their home. What an evil destination'}[At-Twabah 9:73]. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH&F) launched a significant campaign to expose the munafiqin [the hypocrites], neutralize their influence in the Muslim community, and thwart their efforts to aid the enemies. He humiliated and made them suffer disgrace and defeat. The measures allowed to be taken against them were of a high threshold, as Allah said: {'If the munafiqin and those in whose hearts is disease and those who spread rumors in al-Madinah do not cease, We will surely incite you against them; then they will not remain your neighbors therein except for a little. They are accursed wherever they are found, [being] seized and massacred completely. [This is] the established way of Allah with those who passed on before; and you will not find in the way of Allah any change’}[Al-Ahzab 33:60-62].
First, Muslims should uphold their sacred cause by bearing and adhering to the message of Allah (the Almighty) and carrying the banner of Islam, which is promised to prevail, as Allah (the Almighty) says, {'It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although they who associate others with Allah dislike it'}[At-Tawbah 9:33]. This also includes moving in accordance with His blessed instructions.
Second, Muslims are required to trust in Allah (the Almighty) and rely upon Him when confronting challenges, risks, and enemies, as Allah commanded His Prophet (PBUH&F) to do so by saying, {'So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth'}[An-Naml 27:79], and He also said to him, {'And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die'}[Al-Furqan 25:58]. Additionally, Allah (the Almighty) says, {'And upon Allah let the believers rely’}[Ali 'Imran 3:122].
Third, they should have high morale and be ready to sacrifice in the path of Allah (Glory be to Him), as He (the Almighty) says, {'Allah has indeed purchased from the believers their lives and wealth in exchange for Jannah'}[At-Tawbah 9:111]. The most important factor to achieve this is to be derived by faith, which grants the mujahidin divine moral support, as Allah (the Almighty) says, {'It is He who sent down tranquility into the hearts of the believers that they would increase in faith along with their [present] faith'}[Al-Fath 48:4].
Fourth, Muslims should possess a high level of insight, awareness, and certainty, including that kind of awareness the Quran raises regarding the enemies in their diverse categories, the nature of the conflict with them, the factors leading to victory, and the reasons for defeat. The Holy Quran provides sufficient insight, as Allah (the Almighty) said, {'There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever is blind [does harm] against it'}[Al-An'am 6:104].
Fifth, they should also show resilience, patience, and steadfastness in the face of difficulties and challenges, as Allah (Glory be to Him) says, {'O believers! Patiently endure, persevere, stand on guard, and be mindful of Allah, so you may be successful'}[Ali 'Imran 3:200].
Sixth, it is important to adhere to uprightness, taqwa, practical effort, diligence, perseverance, and promptness in action, as Allah (Glory be to Him) says, {'Allah is with those who are muttaqin'}[At-Tawbah 9:123]. He (the Almighty) also says, {'And if you are patient and fear Allah, their plot will not harm you at all'}[Ali 'Imran 3:120]. In another verse, He says, {'Mobilize, light or heavy'}[At-Tawbah 9:41]. He also says, {'Hurry towards your Lord's forgiveness and a Jannah as wide as the heavens and earth prepared for the muttaqin'}[Ali 'Imran 3:133].
The seventh lesson is about wisdom, prudence, keenness on putting in necessary effort, good assessment of the situation, and effective management in performance at the tactical and strategic levels. Thus, every battle had its own plan, arrangements, and methods, as seen in the battles of Badr, Uhud, and the Trench, as well as the battles of Banu Qaynuqa, Banu Qurayza, and Khaybar, and as seen in the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, the Conquest of Mecca, and the battles of Hunayn, Mu'tah, and Tabuk, as well as the various expeditions into many regions, along with pre-emptive operations, surprise attacks, etc.
The Messenger's jihad journey stands as the greatest example of success in history achieved by the greatest leader and role model under the most sacred flag and at the least cost in terms of the human and material toll. It was also for the sake of the greatest project dedicated to ensuring the wellbeing of people in this life and the Hereafter.
Taking the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&F) as a role model, example, source of guidance is not only an obligation of faith but also a path to success and triumph and the key to receive the mercy of Allah and His grace and support: Allah (Glory be to Him says, {'Indeed in the messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah often'}[Al-Ahzab 33:21].
On this blessed occasion and in the face of the current circumstances in which the Ummah suffers comprehensive targeting by the forces of disbelief and nifaq [hypocrisy], led by America and Israel, along with those associated with them, and within the framework of the jihadist responsibility of Muslims to support the oppressed Palestinian people—who face daily acts of genocide committed by the Zionist and Jewish enemy—we reaffirm the steadfastness of our dear Yemeni Muslim people in their principled jihadist position represented in carrying the flag of Islam and standing against taghut and arrogance.
Today's operation that was carried out by the Missile Force with a new ballistic missile of advanced technology—a missile that surpassed and penetrated all defence lines that protect the Israeli enemy, including various and multiple air defence systems, travelling a long distance estimated at 2,040 km in just 11 1/2 minutes—falls within the fifth stage of escalation against the Israeli enemy, in support of the oppressed Palestinian people. Our operations continue as long as aggression and blockade persist against Gaza. Our position remains firm until occupied Palestine is cleansed from the clutches of the Zionist occupation. We escalate at each stage, coordinate with our mujahid brothers in Palestine and in the axis of Al-Quds, jihad, and resistance, and we seek to do what is greater than this. Allah willing, what lies ahead is greater.
Our Armed Forces continue their operations at sea, targeting the maritime activities associated with the Israeli enemy, as well as its American and British partners. These operations, by the grace and support of Allah, are successful and highly impactful.
As for the internal situation, the process of change has commenced on the governmental and judicial fronts. This is the beginning, and this path should be adhered to until fulfilment and until the cherished outcomes are realized by our dear people.
We here remind our entire Islamic Ummah of the religious responsibility and sacred duty to support the Palestinian people. The position of this responsibility in religion is at the level described by the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&F) when he said, 'Whoever wakes up without concern for the affairs of the Muslims is not one of them, and whoever hears a Muslim calling out "O Muslims!" and does not respond to him is not one of them.'
The faith-based path that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&F) walked upon is holding fast to the Holy Quran and making practical effort based on the guidance of Allah (the Almighty), as Allah says:
{'The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination." Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not hold us accountable, if we forget or make a mistake and, Our Lord, do not place on us a burden such as You have placed on those before us. And our Lord, do not make us bear that for which we have no strength. And pardon us. And grant us forgiveness. And have mercy on us. You are our Lord. Help us, then, against the disbelieving people"'}[Al-Baqarah 2:285-286].
At the end of this speech, I ask Allah to reward you all for your attendance and for your great observance of this blessed occasion. May Allah also be a rewarder to all the workers, including security personnel, organizers, and technicians. May Allah reward you all, bless you, and accept your deeds.
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
May Allah protect you, bless you, keep you safe, and record your reward. I ask Him to bring you honour, elevate your status, and raise your rank. May Allah be your protector.
