A report from the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs highlighted the massive US aid to Israel, noting that the relationship between the United States and the Zionist entity is a steadfast military alliance despite numerous criticisms.
The report revealed that between October 7, 2023, and September 30, 2024, the US government spent at least $22.76 billion in military aid to Israel, with over $251 billion provided over the last 66 years.
Most of the aid has been delivered, but about $5.2 billion will not reach Israel until next year. The support provided to Israel included equipment, ammunition, and logistical support. The US funded about 70 percent of the war effort, with aid including 50 F-15 fighter jets worth $18.8 billion, over 32,000 tank shells worth $774 million, tactical vehicles for $583 million, 30 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles worth $102 million, and 50,000 mortar shells for $61 million.
The report noted that the Pentagon had rescheduled the delivery dates for these systems between 2026 for mortars and 2029 for F-15K jets. It also confirmed that Israel has received the largest amount of US aid since World War II, totaling $251.2 billion over 66 years.
Furthermore, the assistance provided by the Biden administration to the Zionist entity last year was the highest in the history of US-Israeli relations, surpassing previous records by 25 percent, with the second-largest amount being $14 billion in the late 1970s.
Israel launched the war on Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas waged the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.
Since then, the United States has supplied the Tel Aviv regime with more than 10,000 tons of military equipment and used its veto power against all United Nations Security Council resolutions that called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The occupying regime has killed more than 40,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, since the start of the barbaric campaign of death, destruction and genocide. And more than 1.7 million people have been internally displaced.
