Millions Rally in Yemen in Solidarity with Gaza and Lebanon

News - Yemen: Millions in Yemen gathered Friday in rallies to condemn the Israeli enemy, honor the martyrs, and reaffirm their steadfast support for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.

The Yemeni people took to the streets of the capital Sana’a and other provinces across the country, including Sa’ada, Ta’izz, Ibb, al-Bayda, and Hajjah, carrying Yemeni, Palestinian, and Lebanese flags, along with banners of freedom and resistance, emphasizing their unwavering solidarity with Gaza and Lebanon.

The rally coincided with the annual Martyrs' Anniversary and responded to the call of Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, who in his weekly address on Thursday urged the Yemeni people to take to the streets. He highlighted the plea from Palestinian resistance fighters in Hamas, calling for global demonstrations to support the Palestinian people, particularly those in northern Gaza, who are enduring starvation, genocide, and horrific crimes committed by the Israeli Zionist enemy.

Sayyed Abdulmalik stated, “I call upon our dear people to take to the streets on Friday in great, honorable demonstrations, responding to the call of the fighters in Palestine and Lebanon and to the cries of children, women, and the suffering of the oppressed. Let us march as we do every week, in a manner that pleases God Almighty.”

The Rally's Statement: "With Gaza and Lebanon... On the Path of the Martyrs Until Victory

The statement issued by the millions-strong march hailed the "bold, courageous, and historic decision" of Sayyed Abdulmalik to conduct a successful operation targeting a U.S. aircraft carrier and several warships in the Red and Arabian Seas. This move, the statement claimed, thwarted American preparations for a massive assault aimed at pressuring Yemen to abandon its steadfast support for Palestine and Lebanon.

The march denounced the ongoing "genocide, brutal crimes, and siege" against Palestinians in Gaza for more than 400 days by the Zionist entity, supported by the U.S., Europe, and other Western powers. It also condemned the aggression extending to the West Bank and Lebanon.

The participants vowed to continue weekly rallies to support the oppressed and confront tyrants and criminals, expressing their determination to persevere in these mass demonstrations.

On the Martyrs' Anniversary, the statement reaffirmed allegiance to Yemen’s martyrs, particularly the late leader Sayyed Hussein Al-Houthi, declaring, “We renew our pledge to our great martyrs that we will not falter, retreat, or abandon our cause.”

The rally praised the operations of the Yemeni armed forces, highlighting their success in targeting U.S. aircraft carriers and striking deep into the Zionist entity, asserting that these actions will bring ultimate victory and lead to the liberation of Palestine.

Since the onset of Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, the Yemeni forces have carried out scores of operations in support of the war-hit Gazans, striking targets throughout the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to targeting Israeli ships or vessels heading towards ports in the occupied territories.

Israel launched the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas waged the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity in response to the Israeli regime's decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.

The regime’s bloody onslaught on Gaza has so far killed at least 43,736 Palestinians, mostly women and children. Thousands more are also missing and presumed dead under rubble.

Israel has also been targeting Lebanon since October 2023, when it launched the genocidal war on Gaza. Since late September, the regime has escalated its strikes on Lebanon, killing hundreds of people.
