The protesters marched through the streets of Amman and other cities after Friday prayers to express their support for the people of Gaza and Lebanon.
They chanted against the US's unconditional support for Israel’s crimes and slammed the Arab governments' inaction on the regime’s continuous massacres and the targeting of civilians in the region.
The protesters condemned the blockade preventing the delivery of humanitarian and medical aid to northern Gaza where Israel launched a new brutal offensive last month.
Secretary General of The Islamic Action Front Party, Murad Al-Adaileh at the massive rally in Amman denounced Israel's banning of UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA).
"Today, truthfully, America and the entity (Israel) are waging a war of extermination and famine against our people in Gaza, and on Jabalia specifically," Al-Adaileh told the demonstrators.
"UNRWA is the only international institution present in the Gaza Strip today. This project wants to end the Palestinian cause and liquidate it," he added.
Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner general of UNRWA on Wednesday warned that a recent Israeli law, which aims to dismantle UNRWA activities across the occupied Palestinian territory, could lead to "catastrophic consequences" and threaten the stability of the region.
The Israeli ban could impact millions of Palestinians who rely on the agency's services for education, healthcare, and basic needs.
Israel has repeatedly accused UNRWA staff of cooperating with members of the Palestinian Hamas resistance group, without providing any proof of the claims.
In recent weeks, the Israeli siege on Palestinians in Gaza’s Jabaliya refugee camp, along with the regime’s human rights violations in Palestine and Lebanon, has sparked protests in Jordan, with protesters voicing their support for resistance.
The crowds frequently gathered in the Jordanian capital near the Israeli embassy over the past months. The protesters have been demanding Jordan to end its peace treaty with Israel.
Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed more than 43,700 Palestinians, wounded 103,258 others and displaced almost 2.2 million people since October 7, 2023.
The Israeli strikes and ground offensive have also brought the Lebanese death toll since last October to more than 3,370. More than 14,300 people have also been injured.
