News - Yemen: A mercenary official aligned with the US-Saudi aggression revealed on Sunday the large-scale and systematic looting operations conducted by the Islah militia in the occupied city of Marib.

The official confirmed that the Islah movement has been exploiting the plight of displaced persons, using their name to seize vast sums of money provided by international organizations and donors to Yemen.

Mahmoud Saleh, the deputy minister for the so-called Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor under the US-Saudi-backed administration, disclosed that 70 displacement camps in Marib exist only on paper and are empty of residents. He clarified that the displaced population in Marib, as claimed by Islah, is largely fabricated.

Saleh’s revelations have sparked anger and resentment within the so-called Executive Unit for the Management of Displacement Camps in Marib, exposing the unit’s complicity in the alleged fraud.

Human rights sources had previously revealed nearly two years ago that the number of displaced persons reported by Islah is grossly inflated for dubious purposes, including the embezzlement of foreign aid and funds provided by international organizations.

The sources stated that most of those listed as displaced in Marib are, in reality, families of recruits loyal to the Islah militia, who were relocated to the city to bolster the ranks of the Saudi-led coalition forces.

The southern governorates are currently grappling with severe security chaos and a nearly daily surge in criminal activities. These areas are under the control of the forces of the US-Saudi aggression and the Saudi-Emirati occupation, where a growing number of assassinations are targeting military personnel, security leaders, religious figures, and social figures.
