British Report: Yemen’s Strategic Threat to US, Its Allies Spirals Out of Control

News - Yemen: The strategic threat posed by Yemen's Armed Forces to the United States and its allies has spiraled out of control, with Yemen now possessing significant expertise in countering US and Western forces, a British newspaper reported.

In a report published midweek, the Daily Express emphasized that Yemen has become a "strategic threat" to the US and its allies. This threat has "gone beyond control," as Yemeni naval attacks persist despite Western military efforts to halt them.

The report highlighted recent findings by the US-based Institute for the Study of War, which revealed that Yemen's Armed Forces have gained valuable knowledge about the "US military’s operational methods" and developed the ability to adapt and exploit these tactics against American forces.

The Daily Express described the Red Sea conflict as a "disaster" for the United States, as it diverts American military attention from the Indo-Pacific region, where other significant threats are concentrated.

Yemen has declared open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the territory’s Palestinian resistance movements carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have achieved significant victories against the naval forces of the US, the UK, and Israel. These operations led to the effective shutdown of the Port of Eilat, also known as Um Rashrash, and forced the US aircraft carriers Eisenhower and Roosevelt to retreat from the Red Sea. The Yemeni forces also sank or damaged dozens of Israeli-linked ships.

These achievements have surprised many observers, as Yemen was not previously regarded as a significant naval power. The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their operations as long as the Israeli regime maintains its war and siege against Palestinian territories.

So far, Israel has killed at least 44,249 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured over 104,746 others in Gaza.
