News - Yemen: Yemen’s renewed attacks on US ships provide further evidence of the country’s sustained military capabilities, the maritime site Tradewinds reported on Sunday.

Highlighting Yemen’s recent operation against American destroyers and supply ships, the report emphasized that Yemen’s ability to conduct naval strikes undermines repeated US claims of having weakened these capabilities through airstrikes.

The site described the attack as “massive” and a clear indication that Yemen sees no reason to halt its operations in the Red Sea, even after the recent ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

According to the report, the operation confirms that Yemen’s naval strike capabilities remain intact, despite ongoing US efforts to diminish them. The UK’s Maritime Trade Operations reported the incident in the Gulf of Aden, merely labeling it an “attack” without providing details.

The report added that the three targeted vessels were connected to the United States, flying the US flag and operating for American entities.

On Sunday evening, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced a significant and joint military operation targeting a US destroyer and three American supply ships: Stena Impeccable, Maersk Saratoga, and Liberty Grace. The operation, carried out in the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden, involved 16 ballistic and cruise missiles, along with drones, achieving precise hits.

This operation was declared an act of solidarity with the Palestinian cause and a response to Israeli crimes in Gaza, as well as to US-British aggression against Yemen.

The Yemeni Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to intensifying military operations in the declared maritime operational zone against Israeli and American targets. They stated that these actions will only cease when the aggression stops and the siege on Gaza is lifted.
