Joint Parties Condemn Israeli Aggression on Syria, Call for Unified Arab and Islamic Stance

News - Yemen: The Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) strongly condemned the blatant Israeli aggression against Syria, which involved the incursion of Israeli forces into southern Syria, the criminal bombardment of infrastructure and public property, and the targeting of the Syrian people's resources.

In a statement, the JMP emphasized that this aggression is part of the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the region's peoples, aimed at hindering their pursuit of freedom and independence.

The statement described the assault as a grave threat to regional security and stability and a continuation of the occupation’s aggressive approach that defies international laws and norms. It stressed that confronting these crimes necessitates a unified Arab and Islamic stance to strengthen popular resistance and support the nation's options in confronting the enemy.

The JMP urged the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations, along with global advocates for justice, to take decisive, practical steps against the Israeli enemy and use all possible means to ensure an end to the aggression against Syria and other nations in the region.

Additionally, the JMP praised the second significant military operation carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces, which targeted three supply ships and two American destroyers, alongside strikes on Israeli targets in Jaffa and Ashkelon. The statement highlighted this operation as the most extensive since Yemen began supporting Gaza.

An Israeli military incursion into southern Syria has reached about 25 kilometers (16 miles) southwest of the capital Damascus, two regional security sources and one Syrian security source said.

The Syrian security source says Israeli occupation forces reached Qatana, which is 10 kilometers (6 miles) into Syrian territory, east of the buffer zone.

Tuesday’s strikes followed a speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said in a press conference on Monday that the illegally occupied Golan Heights will “forever be an inseparable part” of the Zionist entity.

Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli enemy occupied Jabal Al-Sheikh (Mount Hermon) near the Golan Heights. The aggression came following the fall of President Bashar Al-Assad’s government after an armed opposition, led by Hayaat Tahrir Al-Sham, entered the capital Damascus early on Sunday.
