Massive Demonstrations in Yemen in Support of Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon

News - Yemen: A massive rally took place today in Al-Sabeen Square, with millions participating under the slogan "Steadfast with Gaza... Continuing the Confrontation Against the Zionist-American Project."

The demonstration expressed solidarity with the Palestinian and Syrian people against Israeli aggression and support for the people of Lebanon and Hezbollah fighters.

Responding to a call by the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, participants gathered in the largest squares of Sana’a, waving Yemeni, Palestinian, and Lebanese flags, along with banners of freedom, resistance, and pictures of fallen leaders.

The demonstrators condemned Israeli aggression in Palestine and Syria and denounced the Arab silence in the face of continued massacres in Gaza and destruction in Syria.

Protesters expressed their anger towards the United States and Israel by burning their flags during the rally.

568 Demonstrations Across Yemen

In addition to the rally in Sana’a, over 568 demonstrations took place across the capital and 14 other Yemeni provinces. These gatherings were in response to a call for a massive turnout, emphasizing solidarity with Palestine, Syria, and Hezbollah, and resistance against Israeli aggression.

Military Escalation Announced

During the demonstrations, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced two military operations. The first targeted a military site in occupied Ashkelon, and the second struck a target in occupied Jaffa. Both operations were carried out using drones that bypassed interception systems, successfully hitting their targets.

Brigadier Saree also revealed a joint operation with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, targeting vital sites in southern occupied Palestine with multiple drones. The operation reportedly achieved its objectives.

Statement from the Demonstrations

A statement issued during the rallies highlighted the continued atrocities in Gaza, describing them as daily acts of genocide committed by the Zionist regime. The statement accused the U.S. of aiding Israel’s regional ambitions to impose a new Middle East order under the so-called “Greater Israel” project.

The statement called on the Arab and Islamic nations to return to the teachings of the Quran for guidance in distinguishing between allies and enemies. It emphasized the Quranic view of Jews as the fiercest enemies and urged collective action against the U.S. and Israel.

It reaffirmed Yemen’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause, stating, “We strike Israel at its core with our missiles and drones, blockade it by sea, and confront American ships and carriers in oceans with full force.”

The demonstrations also reiterated support for Syria and its struggle against Israeli occupation and destruction, while standing firmly with Hezbollah against all challenges.

Call for Action

The statement urged regional unity against shared threats, emphasizing the need for military and political mobilization. It announced continued public mobilization and training of hundreds of thousands of fighters to counter enemy movements and secure decisive victories.

The demonstrators pledged to maintain their activities, including financial contributions, boycotts of US-Israeli economies, and mass mobilization, until the promised victory is achieved.

Since the onset of Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, the Yemeni forces have carried out scores of operations in support of the war-hit Gazans, striking targets throughout the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to targeting Israeli ships or vessels heading towards ports in the occupied territories.

Israel launched the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas waged the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity in response to the Israeli regime's decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.
