News - Yemen: In a monumental show of solidarity, millions gathered this Friday afternoon in the Al-Sabeen Square of Sana’a, Yemen’s capital, under the banner, “With Gaza: Jihad, Mobilization, and Readiness… Prepared to Deter Any Aggression.” 

The demonstration sent a resounding message of defiance against the Israeli occupation and its American backers, reaffirming unwavering support for the Palestinian people facing genocide in Gaza.

The massive turnout came in response to a call by the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, who urged the Yemeni people to demonstrate in large numbers to challenge the Israeli enemy and solidify Yemen’s stance in support of Gaza.

With arms raised and banners flying, the demonstrators filled Al-Sabeen Square and over 600 other locations across Yemen, carrying Yemeni and Palestinian flags, symbols of freedom and resistance, and images of leader Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi.

Protesters reaffirmed their steadfast support for the Palestinian people enduring Israeli aggression for the past 14 months. They celebrated recent Yemeni Armed Forces operations targeting the Israeli occupation, demanding further strikes until victory is achieved, the aggression ceases, and the siege on Gaza is lifted.

The participants condemned the Israeli-American aggression on Yemeni cities, including Sana’a and Al-Hudaydah, while emphasizing that such attacks would not deter Yemen’s solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

Declaration of Defiance

The statement also condemned the genocide in Gaza, carried out in partnership with the United States for 441 consecutive days, as well as the expansion of aggression to the West Bank, Quds, Lebanon, and Syria.

The statement called on Arab and Islamic nations—governments, parties, and peoples—to reevaluate their stance toward Palestine. “The world judges you based on the principles and values you uphold, which are truly tested in moments of existential threats,” the statement said.

It criticized the silence and complicity of some nations, warning that the Zionist project, exemplified by the concept of a “Greater Israel” or the “New Middle East,” threatens the region as a whole.

The statement expressed gratitude for the “tremendous victories” achieved by Yemeni Armed Forces, which have struck deep into Israeli territory, instilling fear among the Zionist occupiers and their leaders. It also lauded the ongoing operations by Palestinian resistance forces in Gaza, which continue to inflict significant losses on the Israeli military.

In a show of unity, participants extended congratulations to Hamas and the Al-Qassam Brigades on their anniversary, acknowledging their history of struggle and sacrifice. They echoed Hamas’s call for a united Arab and Islamic front to defend Gaza, urging all nations to activate their resources to support Palestine.

This mass demonstration signifies Yemen’s unyielding commitment to the Palestinian cause, emphasizing a readiness to confront aggression and a determination to achieve justice for Gaza and the broader Arab and Islamic world.
