News - Yemen: Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, issued a warning to the US, asserting that the presence of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman in the Red Sea constitutes a message of war, a threat, and an act of militarization in the region.

"Your presence is considered a message of war, a threat, and the militarization of the Red Sea. Additionally, you are carrying out a dirty mission to support the entity's terrorism in perpetuating the genocide in Gaza," Al-Houthi stated in a post on his X account. "Securing American shores is your legitimate mission."

Al-Houthi concluded his message by advising, "Return before embarking on reckless adventures. We have previously called on American carriers to leave, and they indeed departed. Listen to what they have stated."

In this regard, and in response to the US Central Command's announcement on Monday that the USS Harry S. Truman is preparing to launch strikes against targets in Yemen, Al-Houthi emphasized that Yemenis remain steadfast in defending their sovereignty. He stated, "Americans should always remember that Yemenis are the masters of the sea."

He warned the US Navy against any hostile actions, clarifying that Yemen’s Armed Forces had already sent a strong message that the US should heed. "You must understand that deploying your sailors on a dirty mission to defend Israeli aggression and terrorism against Gaza’s people is futile," he said.

Al-Houthi urged the US to abandon its reckless policies and warned against being influenced by "the myths and superstitions of Jewish rabbis." He reminded Washington that its primary responsibility lies in securing its own shores, not engaging in "reckless adventures" overseas.

Yemen has declared open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the territory’s Palestinian resistance movements carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have achieved significant victories against the naval forces of the US, the UK, and Israel. These operations led to the effective shutdown of the Port of Eilat, also known as Um Rashrash, and forced the US aircraft carriers Eisenhower, Roosevelt, and recently USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier and its accompanying destroyers to retreat from the Red Sea. The Yemeni forces also sank or damaged dozens of Israeli-linked ships.

These achievements have surprised many observers, as Yemen was not previously regarded as a significant naval power. The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their operations as long as the Israeli regime maintains its war and siege against Palestinian territories.

So far, Israel has killed over 45,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured over 107,000 others in Gaza.
