Mohammed Al-Houthi Calls for Security Council to Condemn American, Israeli Terrorism
News - Yemen: Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, called on the United Nations Security Council to condemn and criminalize acts of terrorism by the United States and the Israeli entity.
“The deep concern expressed by the Secretary-General and the Security Council regarding famine and the siege in Yemen and Gaza must be translated into practical actions and a condemnation of the aggression,” Al-Houthi stated in a post on Telegram.
The recent Israeli airstrikes on Yemen, targeting Sana’a International Airport, Red Sea ports, and power stations, have raised UN significant concerns. These strikes, which resulted in casualties and affected UN operations, came as a high-level UN delegation was present at the airport, discussing the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres emphasized the importance of respecting international law and protecting civilians, warning that such airstrikes jeopardize vital humanitarian aid.
