News - Middle East: The secretary general of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement says the group has recuperated well following the assassination of its late leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut on September 27, emphasizing that his group has revived its military prowess as well.

“We proved through resistance that we will not allow the [Zionist] enemy to advance its agenda. It is the responsibility of the Lebanese government and the international community to confront the acts of aggression that are currently taking place [against Lebanon],” he pointed out.

The Hezbollah chief stated that his movement has stood up against Israeli expansionist schemes, stressing it is now the Beirut government’s turn to prove itself through political action.

Sheikh Naim Qassem made the remarks in a televised address to the fourth international congress on honoring Ayatollah Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah Yazdi, which is being held in the Iranian capital Tehran on Wednesday.

He emphasized that Hezbollah is thriving, and revived itself. “It has the faith and devoted servicemen that enable it to grow stronger.”

The Hezbollah chief went on to say that the Israeli military is killing any living creature in the Gaza Strip, leveling all houses to the ground and perpetrating genocide in the besieged coastal territory.

The Tel Aviv regime is recognized as a barbaric and criminal regime by the Muslim world and the international community, Sheikh Qassem noted, adding that the regime commits such atrocities with the support of the criminal United States, which is itself the enemy of humanity.
