News - Yemen: The Grand Mufti of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Khalili, praised the courage and determination of Yemen’s defenders in their resistance against the US-Israeli oppression.

In a statement highlighting the steadfastness of the Yemeni people, he remarked, “The valiant heroes of Yemen continue to champion the cause of truth and challenge the forces of oppression with courage and determination,” emphasizing their resilience in the face of adversity.

He further urged the people of Yemen, as well as the broader Arab and Islamic nations, to unite behind this cause, calling on all individuals with a sense of justice to support Yemen’s struggle.

“We appeal to the conscientious people of Yemen and the wider nation to rally behind them, as the cause for which they are sacrificing is the cause of the entire nation for numerous reasons,” he added.

Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched its brutal Gaza onslaught on October 7, 2023, killing almost 45,581 Palestinians to date. 

Yemenis have hit targets throughout the occupied territories, in addition to firing at Israeli ships or vessels heading to or departing Israeli ports, in the southern Red Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and even in the Arabian Sea. 

Despite hundreds of attacks from the UK, US, and Israel, Yemen remains committed to supporting Palestinian resistance, repeatedly vowing to continue operations until Israel’s Gaza onslaught ceases.
