News - Middle East: Former Zionist minister Haim Ramon affirmed that the results of the fighting in Gaza "confirm the depth of failure in the Strip," pointing to the "inability to achieve the main goal of the war, which is toppling Hamas' rule and eliminating its military capabilities." He added, "It is as if we have not fought there for 15 months."

Ramon stated that Hamas "still controls all areas where the 'Israeli army' is not present, retains significant military strength, holds 100 prisoners, and conducts effective combat against Israeli forces."

He also highlighted Hamas' ability to launch rockets at "Israel," saying, "Even this week, rockets continued to fall from the Gaza Strip, as if we had not fought there for 15 months."

Ramon emphasized that the war in Gaza "constitutes a resounding strategic failure," explaining that this failure was "the result of a flawed strategic plan, the inability of both military and political leadership to draw lessons, and the lack of adoption of an alternative strategic plan."

The Israeli regime initiated a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, following a historic operation carried out by the Palestinian Hamas Resistance group in response to the escalating atrocities committed by the occupying regime against the Palestinian population.

Israel has enforced a comprehensive siege on the densely populated region, severing essential supplies such as fuel, electricity, food, and water, affecting more than two million Palestinians residing within the territory.

Israel’s war on Gaza has so far killed at least 45,658 Palestinians and wounded 108,583.
