Responding to a call from the leader of the revolution, Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the demonstration at Al-Sabeen Square marked one of the largest gatherings in Yemen's capital. Participants carried Yemeni, Palestinian, and Lebanese flags, along with banners of freedom and resistance, and images of the revolutionary leader.
Airstrikes Amid Protests
During the rally, the US-British-Israeli coalition launched airstrikes targeting areas surrounding Al-Sabeen Square and the Haziz Power Station in southern Sanaa.
Despite the attacks, the crowds remained steadfast, chanting slogans such as: "God is Great, Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse on the Jews, Victory for Islam."
Government Condemnation
From Al-Sabeen Square, Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rohi condemned the aggression, labeling it a "tripartite assault" targeting peaceful demonstrators in support of Gaza.
He reiterated Yemen's unwavering stance in support of Palestine, stating, "Yemen will remain steadfast and will not waver, no matter how much the trio of evil escalates."
Military Response
During the rally, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced recent military operations.
These included targeting the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and other naval vessels in the northern Red Sea using cruise missiles and drones.
Additionally, the Yemeni Armed Forces confirmed an operation targeting occupied Jaffa with three drones, successfully reaching their objectives.
Nationwide Support
Over 780 rallies took place across the capital and 14 provinces under the banner, "Jihad for the sake of God and in support of Gaza, we will confront all tyrants."
These weekly demonstrations, ongoing for over a year, have seen escalating participation, reflecting Yemen's unwavering support for Palestine.
In his statement, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi emphasized the resilience of the Yemeni people, calling their stance a "great disappointment to the enemies" and a testament to Yemen's internal strength and unity.
Rally Statement
The rally's official statement condemned the continued Zionist aggression against Gaza, including systematic attacks on civilians, infrastructure, and religious sites. It criticized Israeli expansionism in the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria as part of a broader strategy for regional domination under the so-called "Greater Israel" project.
The statement called for continued resistance against Israeli aggression, unwavering support for Palestinian fighters, and practical steps from Arab and Muslim nations to counter Zionist expansionism.
It urged the Palestinian Authority to stop targeting resistance fighters and instead defend the Palestinian people.
Concluding with a message of faith and determination, the statement called on the Arab and Muslim world to stand united, declaring, "Victory is promised by God to those who strive in His cause, and He will not break His promise."
The rally also praised Yemen's leadership for its military and security achievements, attributing their success to divine guidance and the steadfastness of the Yemeni people.
