PFLP: Yemen's Great Sacrifices in Support of Palestine Won't Be in Vain

News - Yemen: The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has issued a strong condemnation of the recent Israeli aggression on Yemen, describing it as a "criminal escalation" that will only strengthen the resolve of the Yemeni people to support Gaza and the Palestinian resistance.

In its statement, the PFLP denounced the "brutal Israeli aggression" targeting Yemen's infrastructure, labeling it as a systematic and criminal escalation.

The attack, the statement noted, was carried out in direct coordination with the United States and Britain, exposing the colonial and criminal nature of their actions, particularly in targeting civilians and vital facilities.

"The escalation against Yemen will not succeed in breaking the will of the Yemeni people or deterring them from their steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their resistance," the PFLP stated.

The group emphasized the significant sacrifices made by the Yemeni people in their unwavering support for Palestine, asserting that these sacrifices will not be in vain. The PFLP highlighted the massive million-strong marches held every Friday in Al-Sabeen Square in Sanaa as a clear expression of Yemen's united stance and steadfast support for Gaza and Palestine.

The PFLP described these popular marches as a powerful message to all aggressors, demonstrating that the determination of the Yemeni people cannot be broken through bombings or blockades.

"We salute the resilience of the heroic Yemeni people and commend the bravery of their armed forces, who continue to carry out significant operations deep within the Zionist entity," the statement concluded.

The PFLP's remarks come amidst escalating aggression in Yemen, further underlining the region's interlinked struggle against oppression and colonialism.

The US-British-Zionist aggression launched a series of hostile airstrikes this Friday afternoon targeting the capital, Sanaa, coinciding with the weekly million-strong popular gatherings in support of Gaza.

At least three citizens, including a worker at the Haziz Central Power Station in Sanhan District, were injured, and several homes were damaged due to the aggression targeting the power station.

These attacks by the US-British coalition are part of an ongoing aggression against Yemen, which has persisted for over a year. The attacks are reportedly in support of the Israeli regime, aiming to pressure Yemen into abandoning its support for the Palestinian people.

Since Israel began its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Yemen has openly expressed support for Palestine’s resistance against the Israeli occupation. The ongoing aggression in Gaza has claimed the lives of over 46,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

In addition to missile strikes, Yemen has also targeted ships linked to Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom, aiming to force an end to the Tel Aviv regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their attacks until Israel halts its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
