News - Yemen: Yemen's President, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Saturday highlighted the failure of the US-British aggression against Yemen over the past year, describing it as an unprecedented event in the history of wars. He emphasized that Yemen’s resistance has challenged American arrogance, which has inflicted suffering on peoples across the world for decades.

In a speech marking the anniversary of the US-British aggression, President Mashat stated that the assault, launched by the US, Britain, and the Zionist regime, aimed to support Israeli occupation and facilitate its continued crimes of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. He noted that this aggression occurred in a manner unparalleled in global history.

He commended the Yemeni people and Armed Forces for implementing a complete ban on navigation by ships associated with the Zionist regime, despite intense challenges.

"Our Armed Forces, in all their formations, achieved legendary victories," Mashat declared. "They rendered the pinnacle of American military dominance—aircraft carriers—ineffective, as enemy experts worldwide have admitted. These carriers have become liabilities, hidden by the Americans out of fear of targeted attacks."

He also noted Yemen's advancements in missile technology, including the introduction of the Palestine-2 hypersonic missile and Yaffa aircraft, which successfully bypassed the most advanced air defenses in the world. Strikes captured by Israeli cameras and acknowledged by senior Zionist officials further demonstrated these capabilities.

Highlighting the nation’s hypersonic missile technology—available to only a few countries worldwide—Mashat praised Yemen’s Air Defense for neutralizing advanced American spy drones like the MQ-9, with 14 drones downed in a single year.

Yemen’s Armed Forces also thwarted several large-scale American and British military operations before they could commence, a feat Mashat attributed to divine support and the justice of Yemen’s cause: the liberation of Palestine and the lifting of the siege.

Despite immense political, economic, and military pressure from the US since the launch of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, Yemen remains steadfast. Mashat reaffirmed Yemen's unwavering support for Palestine and denounced Israeli-American aggression.

Addressing Netanyahu directly, Al-Mashat dismissed Israeli threats, declaring, "Your messages will not even unsettle our smallest children. The world has witnessed the unwavering strength of the Yemeni people, standing firm in public squares despite relentless raids."

He praised Yemen’s solidarity with Palestine, citing weekly demonstrations, mobilization campaigns, and consistent media advocacy as evidence of the nation's enduring commitment to the Palestinian cause.

Reiterating Yemen's humanitarian and religious alignment with Gaza, Al-Mashat vowed that this stance would never falter, regardless of external pressures. He also warned collaborators aiding Zionist aggression, pledging harsh consequences for those complicit in undermining Yemen.

Lastly, Mashat commended the Government of Change and Construction for tackling economic challenges, including salary payments, and encouraged continued reforms to better serve Yemeni citizens.

He concluded his address by saluting the resilience of the Yemeni people and Armed Forces, assuring continued support for Gaza and readiness to defend Yemen against any aggression.

The US and its allies have been bombing Yemen over the past year, violating the country’s sovereignty and international law.

These illegal attacks were launched in response to Yemen’s campaign of solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip amid Israel’s genocidal war.

As part of this campaign, the Yemeni Armed Forces targeted ships linked to Israel or heading to and from ports in the occupied territories. These operations extended across the southern Red Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and even the Arabian Sea.

In addition, Yemeni forces have carried out strikes against Israeli targets within the occupied territories.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to persist in their anti-Israel operations until the occupying regime ceases its bloody onslaught against Gaza.
