The air raids targeted the outskirts of the areas of Houmine al-Fawqa and Deir al-Zahrani, in Nabatieh governorate in southern Lebanon, the al-Mayadeen news channel reported late on Sunday.
The Israeli attacks, the report added, also targeted the town of Janta in Lebanon’s eastern Bekaa governorate.
Meanwhile, the occupation’s military said that it had struck Hezbollah targets, including a rocket launcher, an unspecified military site, and routes along the Syrian border with Lebanon.
Earlier in the day, Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported Israeli aerial assaults on the towns of Kfar Kila and Aita al-Shaab in Nabatieh governorate.
It further reported an Israeli drone strike on the outskirts of the town of Jabal al-Botm in Lebanon’s South governorate.
Additionally, the occupation forces infiltrated the Lebanese towns of Maroun al-Ras, al-Majdiyeh, Wadi Khansa, and the Mari Plain, according to al-Mayadeen.
Hezbollah opened a support front for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip after Israel unleashed a genocidal war on the besieged territory on October 7, 2023, launching numerous retaliatory attacks against targets in the occupied lands.
Israel was forced to accept the truce with Hezbollah on November 27, 2024, after suffering heavy losses on the battleground and failing to achieve its goals despite killing over 4,000 people in Lebanon.
The deal, due to expire on January 26, gave Israel 60 days to pull out its forces from the occupied areas and hand over control to the Lebanese army and UN peacekeepers.
Israeli officials have reportedly said that the regime’s troops would not leave southern Lebanon past the deadline for pullout.
