News - Middle East: Since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank on October 7, 2023, 13,054 Palestinian students have been martyred and 21,991 others injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The Ministry stated in a press release on Tuesday that the number of students martyred in Gaza since the beginning of the aggression has exceeded 13,054, with 21,991 others injured.

In the West Bank, 123 students have been martyred, 671 injured, and 560 arrested since October 7, 2023, according to the Ministry.

The aggression has also resulted in the martyrdom of 654 teachers and administrative staff and the injury of 3,886 others. Additionally, more than 165 teachers and administrative staff have been arrested in the West Bank.

In the West Bank, 109 schools and 7 universities have been subjected to raids and vandalism.

Since the start of the Zionist aggression, more than 788,000 students in Gaza have been deprived of attending their schools and universities. Most students are suffering from psychological trauma and are facing dire health conditions.

The Israeli enemy forces continue their aggressive war and acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip for the 466th consecutive day, coinciding with intensified (air and ground) bombardments and the perpetration of new massacres.

The Zionist enemy forces committed four new massacres against Palestinian families and displaced persons in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, resulting in 342 martyrs and injuries.

In its daily statistical report, on Tuesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 61 martyrs and 281 injuries due to the enemy's new massacres in the Strip.

The Ministry of Health noted that "a number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense teams."

The toll of the ongoing Israeli military aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 46,645 martyrs, in addition to 110,012 injured with varying degrees of severity, including critical and very critical cases.

Israel waged its brutal Gaza onslaught on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas resistance group carried out its historic operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

In addition to targeting Gaza's infrastructure, Israel has been deliberately blocking the flow of food, medicines and basic supplies into the besieged territory and using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare.
