Ongoing Violations: Israeli Aggression in Gaza Persists Despite Ceasefire Agreement

News - Middle East: The Palestinian Civil Defense announced, Thursday, that the Zionist enemy has killed 71 Palestinians and injured more than 200 others since the announcement of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip up until this morning.

Mahmoud Basal, the spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, stated in a press release that over 61 of the martyrs are from Gaza City alone, including more than 19 children and 24 women.

He confirmed that the Israeli enemy continues its bombing policy to this moment.

The Israeli army intensified its targeting of civilians last night and into this morning, bombarding residential areas, which led to the martyrdom and injury of a large number of civilians in their homes.

Enemy aircraft carried out heavy airstrikes targeting residential blocks near the Engineers’ Syndicate and Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries.

Additionally, Israeli warships fired shells at the shores of Rafah in southern Gaza, while the enemy army demolished residential homes in the northern and southern parts of Gaza City.

Medical sources reported that 82 martyrs have been killed in Gaza due to the ongoing Israeli bombardment since dawn on Wednesday.

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, announced on Wednesday evening that a ceasefire agreement had been reached between Palestinian resistance factions and the Zionist entity in the Gaza Strip after 15 months of war during which the occupation committed acts of genocide and thousands of massacres, met with fierce resistance to the last breath.

As Israel began its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, it has claimed the lives of over 46,707 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
