News - Yemen: The two largest maritime shipping companies associated with the Zionist entity, Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd, have confirmed that they do not plan to resume shipping routes in the Red Sea despite the recent announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza.

"We will closely monitor the situation in the region and return to the Red Sea as soon as it becomes safe," both companies stated in a joint announcement.

"We will carefully analyze the latest developments and their impact on the security situation in the Red Sea," spokesperson for Hapag-Lloyd told Reuters. He further clarified that it is still too early to predict when shipping operations through the Red Sea might resume.

Hapag-Lloyd emphasized that the ceasefire does not guarantee an immediate resumption of passage through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, citing the continued risk of attacks from Yemen.

The company noted that, following operations in Yemen, they redirected their ships to longer routes. This adjustment has resulted in increased shipping costs and disruptions to the global maritime freight network.

Since Israel began its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Yemen has openly expressed support for Palestine’s resistance against the Israeli occupation. The ongoing aggression in Gaza has claimed the lives of over 46,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

In addition to missile strikes, Yemen has also targeted ships linked to Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom, aiming to force an end to the Tel Aviv regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their attacks until Israel halts its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
