Members of the National Gathering in the United Kingdom strongly condemned and denounced "the airstrikes carried out by the forces of the US-Zionist-Saudi-UAE aggression against the steadfast Yemeni people for committing more brutal crimes against safe civilians and destroying homes and residential neighborhoods, which killed dozens of families and hundreds of martyrs, including children, women, and elderly."
They added in the statement, "This systematic killing of the Yemeni people over seven years of futile and unjust war is equal to genocide and is classified as a war crime and crimes against humanity."
"These heinous crimes oppose all religious, moral and human values and are a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law that recommends sparing civilians war and conflict, not to mention that they violate the most basic human rights laws and all international conventions."
The statement urged "the united nations, civilized countries, their governments, the international community, the free and honorable people of the world" to exert "the utmost political, legal, and judicial pressures to deter the criminal aggressors, leaders, and rulers of the US-Israeli-Saudi-UAE evil alliance, and to bring them to trial before international courts as war criminals, for their horrific crimes," so that they receive fair retribution, and to work hard "to end the suffering of Yemenis, stop the war, and lift the siege."
This statement comes as a response to the recent aggressive airstrike by the Saudi-led coalition warplanes on Yemen.
More than 80 citizens were killed and more than 120 were wounded as a result of the US-Saudi raids, which directly targeted the central prison in Sa'adah on Friday.
Earlier, the US-Saudi aggression warplanes targeted the communications tower in the city of Hodeidah, killing six citizens, including three children, and injuring 18 others, most of whom are children.
The Saudi-led coalition continues to carry out raids and shelling of a number of Yemeni provinces, killing and injuring citizens and causing material damage to property and infrastructure. The escalation coincides with the coalition's launching of a military air operation on Hodiedah, continuing to break the ceasefire there.
