Bin Habtoor: Yemen will not allow Zionism to Own Red Sea

News - Yemen: The Prime Minister of the National Salvation Government, Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Habtoor, affirmed that Yemen will not allow the Zionists to own the Red Sea, pointing out that "Bab Al-Mandab is an international corridor, but it is part of Yemen's territory."

Bin Habtoor made it clear that Yemen has the final say when it comes to the Bab Al-Mandab strait, to preserve the Arab identity of the Red Sea in the face of the American conspiracy to turn it into a Zionist lake.

He pointed out that "Biden's visit to the region reflected America's weakness, despite old Biden getting what he wanted from Saudi and Gulf Oil."

"The signing of 19 cooperation agreements refutes the media's claim of a Saudi-American dispute," explaining that the US-Saudi aggression leadership was neither sincere nor committed to the terms of the sponsored-UN truce with Yemen.

Biden touched down in Israel on Wednesday for his first trip to the occupied territories as the US president and was welcomed by the regime’s caretaker Prime Minister Yair Lapid, former premiers Naftali Bennett and Benjamin Netanyahu, and Israeli president Isaac Herzog.

The US president spent two days in occupied al-Quds for talks with Israeli leaders before heading to the West Bank, where he met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday.

Afterward, he took a direct flight from Israel to the Saudi Arabian port city of Jeddah on the Red Sea for talks with Saudi officials and to take part in a summit of Persian Gulf Cooperation Council.

Biden met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and other regional leaders during the high-profile visit, amid speculation that Biden would be aggressively pushing for normalization between Riyadh and Tel Aviv.

The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco in 2020 became the first Arab countries in decades to normalize relations with Israel in a deal brokered by former US president Donald Trump.

Saudi Arabia is yet to jump on the bandwagon, despite claims that it is committed to the 2002 so-called Arab Peace Initiative, which conditions normalizing ties with Israel on the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state within the 1967 borders.

The kingdom in November 2020 granted permission for Israeli airlines to use its airspace, hours before the first Israeli flight to the UAE was set to take off.

Palestinian leaders, activists, and ordinary people have repeatedly rejected Arab-Israeli normalization deals as “a stab in the back” of the Palestinian cause.

During a massive ceremony in the Yemeni capital Sana’a to mark Eid al-Ghadir, Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammad Ali al-Houthi,  has said that US President Joe Biden’s recent trip to West Asia was only meant to serve Israel at the cost of Arab and Muslim nations.

Al-Houthi said Biden, like his predecessors and former US presidents, did not come to West Asia “to serve Islamic causes, but he came to serve Jews and Israel ... [and] to spend Arabs’ and Muslims’ money to protect Israel.”

He also noted that the summit of the leaders of the United States and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which was held in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, was not on behalf of Islam, just as it was not focused on humanitarian issues.

“The whole summit was for Israel. We condemn whatever comes out of this insignificant summit that was held only to serve the usurper,” he added.

Houthi further warned “the usurping Zionist regime” that it will be defeated, stressing that the Yemeni people and the Arab nation are still alive, even if some Arab states normalize their ties with Israel.

“The usurper regime will not be able to gain power through compromising regimes, as it did not gain power through the normalization of ties with some Arab states in the past,” he said.
