Hadhramaut is the largest governorate in Yemen. It represents more than a third of the country's area, and has a strategic importance as it extends over an important coastal strip on the Arabian Sea with a length of 450 km. In addition, it hoards vast oil, mineral and marine wealth.
The US-Saudi aggression continues its siege on Yemen and prevents the entry of oil ships to the port of Hodeidah, and at the same time it continues to loot oil and gas.
Amount of Oil-Wealth Looted by US-Saudi Mercenaries
Last month, minister of Oil and Minerals Ahmed Daris revealed in a statement to Almasirah that the quantities of oil looted by the forces of aggression, mercenaries and some complicit oil companies from 2018 until July 2022 amounted to 130 million and 41 thousand and 500 barrels of oil.
Daris indicated that the quantities are smuggled through Al-Nashima and Al-Dhabba and carried on old ships, and there are millions of barrels looted without being registered. He stated that there are other staggering revenues other than these sales figures, and they are collected by the US-Saudi mercenaries from gas sales and the Marib and Aden refineries.
Ministry of Oil and Minerals revealed earlier that the value of Yemeni oil looted during four and a half years amounted to nine billion and 500 million dollars. The ministry indicated that the total value of looted oil revenues from 2018 until this July amounted to nine billion and 500 million dollars.
It pointed out that the production of crude oil during 2018 amounted to 18 million barrels, with an estimate of one billion and 300 million dollars. During 2019, more than 29 million and 600 barrels of crude oil were produced, with about two billion and 300 million dollars.
The Ministry of Oil explained that SAFER produces 83 domestic gas trailers per day, with a total of 2490 per month. The value of gas in the 2490 monthly locomotives is 5 million and 400 thousand cylinders, and its revenues are 12 billion and 700 million riyals per month.
The ministry indicated that in February 2022, Safer Company raised the price of gas cylinders to 3567 per cylinder, bringing its revenues to 19 billion and 100 million riyals per month.
He pointed out that the Saudi-backed party has reduced the allocations of the areas liberated from gas, calling for the neutralization of these sectors in favor of the salaries of employees.
He stressed that what is being looted is huge amounts that are completely sufficient for the Yemeni people, and the people should know that their wealth is being looted while they are suffering without salaries.
Transferring Yemeni Central Bank to Occupied Aden
With vigorous US efforts, the aggression and its mercenaries deliberately moved the Central Bank from the capital Sana’a to occupied Aden. The Saudi-backed government headed by Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr launched the campaign to freeze the balances and reserves of the Central Bank on the 30th of August 2016 and to work on restructuring the board of directors of the bank. The bank job transfer was announced on September 18, 2016.
This step was only the beginning of a series of steps that exacerbated the collapse of the currency after the Saudi-mercenaries adopted the printing of millions of riyals without cash cover. Thus, the collapse of the currency was accelerated and brought it to a state of unprecedented inflation that made the riyal not worth anything against the dollar in the occupied areas in particular.
Raising the customs dollar is also a step promoted by the Saudi-mercenaries that it is the savior. The reality came to reveal the true picture of the collapse of the national currency, which is actually not worth the ink that the mercenaries printed with, as an actual translation of the US ambassador's promise during the Kuwait negotiations.
Between the mercenaries' refusal to pay salaries and looting wealth, billions of riyals and millions of dollars were transferred by the mercenaries' hands to the National Bank of Saudi Arabia. It is an organized theft that allows the theft of all the wealth of Yemen and evades any of the entitlements to the Yemeni citizens in the north and south.
Yemen Defends Sovereignty, Prevents Looting Its Wealth
In a country searching for salvation to complete the path of a revolution that began by dropping the US guardianship and breaking the collar of dependency on Saudi Arabia, the Armed Forces’ Warning Operation came at Al-Dabba port in Mukalla. It confirms that the revolution is continuing to protect wealth at all costs.
After 8 years of aggression, Yemen stands before a new stage of confrontation, on the path of liberation and protection of natural and sovereign wealth.
The sources of oil and wealth and the strategic location of the governorates of Hadramawt and Shabwa were and still are the focus of the interest and ambitions of the countries involved in aggression, led by USA. This is to impose hegemony on the important channels, seas and waterways, allowing Washington to subjugate Yemen and control the international shipping routes in the Arabian Sea and the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait.
In a country that depends on more than 70% of its budget on oil and gas revenues, the mercenary struggle and their frantic race for the largest share of the pie does not seem to be an emergency event at this stage. Indeed, it is recognized that the infighting over energy resources is one of the main aims of the agents in the hope of enhancing influence and increasing balances in foreign banks.
Three weeks after the first warning operation towards the port of Dabba, the second came towards the port of Qena to prevent the smuggling of crude oil through the port of Qena in Shabwa.
End of US-Saudi Oil Looting
In the past eight years, the coalition of aggression has exercised all forms of pressure on the Yemeni people with crimes of murder, destruction and unjust siege. Meanwhile, this coalition harnessed all the country's revenues to finance mercenaries and implement its suspicious projects and activities in the southern and eastern cities.
